What has led to such strife...?
What barriers are so great?
That we even struggle to look at one another in the eyes.
Are we so different that we cannot coexist?
Is the planet not big enough for all of us to share?
Why then do we continue in such ways?
Surely it has been proven that 99% of our DNA is the same.
That we share a common ancestor.
Have the same anatomy...are these similarities not enough?
What was color anyway?
Surely this should not be reason enough to divide nations.
What benefit is it to strike or resent a man because of his skin?
What pleasure does it bring?
Surely it does not increase your own lifespan...for that only God can control.
Is it not bothering to see fellow humans dying in hunger while you feast at your exquisite table?
Who is it that has authority to make any of us better than the next person?
Well, whoever believes he is better, is only feeding on lies.
We are all just humans not immortal.
Our fate is the same.
Why then should we waste the remainder of our days making each other’s lives miserable?
This is just futile!
Let us rid ourselves of the hate,
Break the barriers
And embrace the minor difference we have.
Let our different colors make a brighter picture for us all.
Our beautiful unique rainbow.
