It's often hard to untangle the complicated messes we create for ourselves while sticking to our crazy schedules and social rosters. At the risk of sounding like a twat - here are some suggestions for untangling these knotty situations.
1. Acquire some sort of daily planner or bullet journal
Keep track of deadlines, important birthdays and events and pencil in suggestions for study slots. This way you can plan your social life according to your needs and not miss your best friend's 21st.
2. Learn to say no
certain friendships and thereby gatherings may sound evil and unfeeling but you don't need to help your friend's sister Ella bury her goldfish unless you killed it.Prioritizing
3. Clear out your newsfeeds
Social media should be a delightful mixture of cute animals, memes and inspirational quotes. If the latest Kayla Itsines workout is making you feel bad about yourself then unfollow asap. The same goes for exes, almost exes (you know what I mean), high school bullies and their significant others.
4. Plan some exercise and outside time
We all know exercise is important so find something that interests you so you will stick to it. Don't over commit to daily training - be realistic. Time in the sun, spent barefoot and sniffing fresh air is also important.
5. Surround yourself with happy people
People can radiate or drain energy and happiness. Make sure you invest your time and energy in those friendships which are mutually supportive and that make you happy in a way you can tell your mom about. Also - don't BE the energy thief. Ffs.
